Full Book synopsis/summary:

This book has 77 Italian-American recipes, covering everything from appetizers to desserts. The collection includes six family hand-me-downs and cherished friends’ recipes, and the rest are my creations.

Our family’s plain cheesecake recipe goes back to 1958, and I started making them in the early ‘80s. I’ve added my twist with at least 12 variations, four of which you’ll find at the end of the book. They’re rich and indulgent, perfect for enjoying about four times a year.

I hope you enjoy the book. If you have any questions about the recipes, feel free
to email me at [email protected], and I’ll do my best to respond quickly, possibly on the same day.

Have a wonderful life and MANGIA!!

Excerpts:

1. I apologize for always starting out by saying “in a large pan,” but that’s all I’ve used for so many years. It gives me the room needed to add all the ingredients and cook more evenly. I personally use a 12-inch stainless steel pan and the same size cast iron pan, my favs.

2. CLAMS CASINO
This is a simple recipe that has been in our family since the early sixties. If you have a problem opening the clams, put them in a pan of hot water until they open then pull them out and take the top shell off and discard. Transfer the clams to a 9X12 baking pan.

3. CARIBBEAN SHRIMP
Over medium high heat, melt butter in the oil for 1 minute, then stir in veggies, mustard and seasoning cooking for 5 minutes. Lower heat to medium low, slowly add coconut milk and coconut flakes, stir and cook for 5 minutes. Now add shrimp, cover and cook for 5 minutes. Stir and sherry, cover and cook for another 5 minutes.
